Lyn Brodersen
1st Term: Concludes October 2009
Dr. Lyn Brodersen is the Chief Executive Officer and Dean of the
University of Wisconsin-Richland. Dr. Brodersen came to UW-Richland in
July, 2008, from Brainerd, Minnesota, where she was Dean of Liberal Arts
and Sciences at Central Lakes College, a two-year campus of the
Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. Dr. Brodersen also has served
as Assistant Dean for Communications and Industrial Technology, Projects
Coordinator, and Interim Campus Director for the South Omaha Campus with
Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. Previously, she
taught and advised students at Western Iowa Tech Community College in
Sioux City, Iowa.
In addition to her positions in higher education, Dr. Brodersen has
served as coordinator of a school-to-career program for the South Sioux
City Nebraska Area Chamber of Commerce, business development analyst and
proposal writer, public library director, and museum education curator.
Dr. Brodersen received her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy
Studies from Iowa State University. She earned her master's degree in
Modern European History from the University of Notre Dame and her
bachelor's degree in History magna cum laude from Coe College. Dr.
Brodersen is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. |
